Kelly brings 13 years of experience in both for-profit, non-profit, and agency settings. Her areas of expertise include communications strategy, media relations, event management, brand management, and writing for email and social media. Most recently, she led communications at Lifelong, a Seattle-based community health organization, where she managed the organization's re-brand through message development, a new website, and a social media re-launch.
Coming up with creative ways to promote a project or campaign is her forte. Whether it’s producing a pop-up Gay Bingo in the park or asking a rugby team to do a warm-up on live TV to promote the Seattle AIDS Walk – she can develop and deliver an idea. Additionally, her experience working closely with community groups and media partners has resulted in more visibility, stronger relationships, and increased media exposure.
Kelly holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Advertising and Marketing Communications and has her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). She is a strategic thinker, deadline hound, taskmaster, and a person prone to giggling in elevators.
In her free time, you’ll find her sniffing out deals at estate sales on the weekends along with her husband, kids, and grumpy old dogs.
